WARNING: Shark in water

When we got an opportunity to vote for a movie to watch, I knew immediately that Jaws would win the vote. The blockbuster continues to amaze new viewers regardless of how old the film is. It doesn't matter how many times you watch it, it continues to be extraordinary.

The combination of music and suspense created through the camera shots and movements creates true emotions of fear. I believe keeping the size of the shark a mystery for a majority of the film is a great choice for the development of the film. The viewers of the film as well as the people in the film share the same amount of knowledge regarding the development of the shark case.  The only thing we see is the shark traveling towards its next victim from the perspective of the shark. This is a classic camera shot that is seen through out the film. It is accompanied with the classic music that Jaws is known for.

I believe the last hour had the perfect amount of action. The shots that were taken with the shark emerging out of the water were magnificent, especially since the shark itself was mechanical. The movie that was created using mechanics instead of CGI is incredible. The work done to create the movie is remarkable.
